The World is a Spectacle

Hazrat Laal Shahbaz Qalandar was on the way when he saw a man with bear dancing. Qalandar asked; who are you? In those days, a bear dancer was also called Qalandar.

Qalandar smiled powerlessly but the man didn't like it. He said, "Who are you?" Hazrat Laal Shahbaz Qalandar said, "I am also Qalandar." He said, "How are you, Qalandar? If you don't have a bear, how can you show a spectacle?" Qalandar said: Show me first, then I will show you.

The man rang the drum; the bear stood up and started dancing. He said, "Now it's your turn." Hazrat Laal Shahbaz Qalandar stood on the branches of two trees and said go down but remember to go ahead but never come back.

As he passed below the trees, the atmosphere changed. Neither the heat of the sun nor the dust, as far as the beautiful mountains, greenery and valleys can be seen. The weather is neither hot nor cold. He was just thinking when he saw a large army of soldiers on horseback moving towards him. He was terrified that he will be killed today.

As they approached, the army stopped and the commander came forward. Before he could say anything, the commander said: Peace, O king! Where did you disappear? Your kingdom is waiting for you and the Queen is in tears.

Now he rode on the royal horse in amazement. When he reached the palace, he was amazed to see the magnificent emirate. When he entered, the beautiful queen hugged him, complaining; where were you? Forgetting everything, he took a bath, put on his royal robe and sat on the throne.

Years passed. He had sons; then the princes grew up. He became old, the taste has gone from the mouth. One day, sitting by the river in his kingdom, he thought about what had happened.

With thinking that he reached the place where the army was and he saw that the trees are still there. He think; let's see the scene. As he passed through the trees, the atmosphere changed. At the same time, in front of the same place, there is a bear and a drum; the same heat, the same dust.

Looking back, Hazrat Laal Shahbaz Qalandar was standing. The condition of bear man got worsen. He said, where is my kingdom, my queen, my princes? Then Hazrat Laal Shahbaz Qalandar said: it was all a spectacle.
