AN OLD MAN OF FOUR YEARS

One day the famous king of Iran ‘Nowsherawan’ was going somewhere when he met an old man on the way. Seeing this, the king asked: the Old Man! How old are you? The old man replied: I am only four years old. Nowsherawan said: This is old age and so many lies! You cannot be less than 80 years old.

The old man replied: The assessment of the King is absolutely correct. But seventy-six years out of eighty, this helpless man lost like that. In which he only considered it his job to take care of himself and his children. Other than that, he did not earn any good, nor did he help the poor. For four years now, it has come to my mind that we are not only born for ourselves, but others have a right over us and now I am acting on it. So I think and count the real age is only four years, the rest is nonsense.

What a good thing the old man said that unless a man understands his work, he cannot be counted among men. Greatness is based on intellect, not age and generosity is based on the heart, not wealth. Those who understand these things in advance do not harm others, but they always seek the good by helping the weak and the poor.
