Motivational Story in English

Owls Do Not Destroy Populations, But Injustice

One day, a pair of parrots was flying over a deserted village. The female parrot, observing the desolation, asked her husband, “What happened here? Why does this place look so abandoned?”

The male parrot replied with a sarcastic tone, “It seems like an owl must have passed through here. Owls are always blamed for bringing misfortune wherever they go.”

Unbeknownst to them, an owl was nearby and overheard their conversation. Hurt by their words, the owl decided to approach them. “Dear friends,” he said warmly, “I overheard you speaking about me. Please, let me host you for dinner tonight. You’re my guests now.”

The parrots, though surprised, couldn’t refuse such a kind invitation. They followed the owl to his home, where he treated them to a generous meal.

After dinner, as the parrots prepared to leave, the owl suddenly grabbed the female parrot’s wing. “Where are you going?” he asked.

“I’m leaving with my husband,” she replied, startled.

The owl laughed and said, “What nonsense! You are my wife now.”

The parrots were shocked. “What are you saying?” the male parrot demanded angrily.

The owl, unfazed, proposed a solution. “Let’s settle this dispute in court. The judge will decide who is right, and we all must accept the verdict.”

Reluctantly, the parrots agreed, and the three of them went to court. The judge listened to their arguments but, to the parrots’ horror, ruled in favor of the owl. The court declared the female parrot to be the owl’s wife.

Heartbroken, the male parrot wept bitterly. “Why are you doing this to me?” he cried. “My wife is my life!”

The owl, seeing his grief, gently approached him. “Brother,” he said softly, “your wife is still yours. I have no intention of keeping her.”

“What do you mean?” asked the male parrot, confused.

The owl replied, “I only wanted to teach you an important lesson. Villages and societies are not destroyed by owls or anyone else. They are destroyed by injustice, just like the one you experienced today. Justice is the foundation of a thriving society. Without it, everything collapses.”

The male parrot, still shaken, nodded in understanding. The owl released the female parrot, and the couple flew away together.

This story serves as a powerful reminder: a society that allows injustice to prevail is doomed to fail. Let us strive to uphold justice, protect the rights of the vulnerable, and create a world built on fairness and compassion.

  1. Undoubtedly it is true that injustice collapses society. Allah Says in Holy Qurran, Allah loves the equitable. Without bless and love of Allah, how can we stand? It is not possible. Brother, as per my personal feelings, this story gives us three lessons. First Justice, secondly do not blame anyone without evidence, third don't accept an invitation of the unknown, especially during the journey.
