A Girl Kidnapped by Her Lover
Last night, as
I was on duty at the toll plaza, doing my usual job of collecting tolls from
drivers, something unexpected happened. A car pulled up, and inside, there was
a girl crying uncontrollably with four boys.
I immediately
asked the driver, "Where are you taking this girl? She's my friend
Haseeb’s sister."
I quickly
stopped the car and went out to call the shift commander who was on duty with
me. When he arrived, he saw the girl standing on the road, alone and in tears,
while the boys had run off.
I hesitated for
a moment, unsure whether I should approach her, but then I realized it was
better if the commander spoke to her. I told him to ask the girl what was going
on.
The commander
approached her and listened as she began to tell her heartbreaking story. She
explained that she had fallen in love with a boy she knew, and he had promised
to take care of her.
However, after
leaving her house at 2 AM, she started to feel anxious and scared. She realized
that the boy had been receiving repeated calls from someone, and he had brought
his friends along.
She had been
too afraid to raise an alarm, feeling that it was her fault for leaving home on
her own. She had completely disregarded her widowed mother and her sisters. All
along the way, she had been praying for forgiveness, hoping Allah would save
her from the situation she had gotten herself into.
As the girl
stood there, she pointed to me and said, "You must thank that brother who
saved my life." It was only then that I realized she had even forgotten to
pay for her ride back home.
Without
hesitation, the commander made sure she got home safely by giving her a ride in
the army vehicle, ensuring she was home before dawn.
The moral
lesson from this story is simple: I urge all my sisters to respect the honor of
your parents. No one will ever give you more respect than your family. As for
love, let it be with your Lord, Allah Almighty.
The more you
love Allah, the more He will elevate you and fulfill your desires. True love is
spiritual and eternal, not fleeting or dangerous. As for the love between a boy
and a girl, it's often superficial, driven by desire, and can lead to tragic
consequences if not approached with wisdom.
