The Nikah in Bus

The bus was traveling from Lahore to Abbottabad when an elderly man, seated in the front, stood up to address the other passengers. He was dressed in fine clothes, yet his words revealed the hardships he had endured.

"My brothers and sisters," he began, "I am not a beggar. God has blessed me in many ways. However, life has been cruel. My wife passed away from an incurable disease. Soon after, my factory caught fire, destroying everything I had. I was in the import-export business, and all my goods turned to ashes.

Not long after, I suffered a heart attack. When my relatives saw that my days were numbered, they distanced themselves from me. The doctors gave me little hope of surviving. But my real sorrow is for my daughter. She has no one left, and I fear someone may take advantage of her. This thought fills my heart with grief." The elderly man began to cry, his shoulders trembling with emotion.

Sitting beside him was his young daughter, who quickly rose to support her father. She helped him sit back down, comforting him in his moment of despair. A man from the back of the bus, who had been listening quietly, stood up. "I have two sons," he said. "One is a doctor, married and settled. The other, my younger son, is an engineer.

I am seeking a bride for him, and I ask that you consider this young woman for him. I promise that I will never allow her to be separated from her father."

The young man, sitting next to the elderly man, stood up and said, "I accept this relationship for marriage."

At that moment, a religious leader, a Molvi, also stood up. "This is a blessed journey," he said. "What could be more beautiful than a marriage?

If everyone agrees, I would be honored to perform the nikah here and now." The passengers, moved by the sincerity of the moment, began to chant blessings: "Masha-Allah," "Subhan-Allah," and "Alhamdu-lillah." The Molvi proceeded with the nikah ceremony.

As the ceremony ended, another gentleman, who had been traveling for a vacation, stood up. He had been carrying sweets for his family, but seeing this blessed occasion, he decided to share them with everyone. "Let us celebrate this joyous moment," he said, offering the sweets to the bride's father.

The father of the bride, moved by the kindness, turned to the bus driver. "Please, stop the bus for just five minutes so we can all enjoy the sweets together." The driver agreed, and the bus came to a halt.

As night fell and the evening prayers were recited, the passengers enjoyed the sweets. But something sinister happened. One by one, all the passengers fainted. It wasn't until 8 o'clock the next morning that they regained consciousness. To their shock, the bride, groom, their fathers, the Molvi, and the man who had distributed the sweets were all gone.

Not only that, but every passenger's watch, chain, and money had vanished. It became clear that the group of six had orchestrated the entire scene, robbing the passengers before fleeing without a trace.

The bus journey, which had begun as a hopeful story of a marriage, had turned into a tragic tale of deceit and loss.
