How to Poison Mother-in-Law?
A long time
ago, there was a young woman named Tabassum. She had recently married and moved
in with her husband and his mother, her mother-in-law. In the beginning,
Tabassum thought everything would be fine, but soon she began to realize that
living with her mother-in-law was much harder than she had imagined.
The two women
had very different personalities, and the constant tension between them started
to wear on Tabassum. Her mother-in-law was often critical of her, making biting
remarks and mocking her in front of others, which Tabassum found very hurtful
and frustrating. Despite her best efforts to stay calm, the conflicts between
them grew more frequent.
As the weeks
passed, Tabassum's unhappiness only deepened. The constant arguing created an
unpleasant atmosphere in their home, making her husband feel caught in the
middle. It was clear that something needed to change.
After much
thought, Tabassum made a decision—she could no longer tolerate her
mother-in-law’s behavior. She needed to take action.
One day,
feeling desperate, Tabassum decided to visit Uncle Ahmed, an old family friend
of her father’s. Uncle Ahmed was known for selling herbs and had a reputation
for helping people with all sorts of problems.
When Tabassum
arrived at his shop, she poured out her heart, explaining everything about her
strained relationship with her mother-in-law and her frustration. She asked him
if he could give her something, anything, that would end the problem once and
for all. Perhaps something that could rid her of her mother-in-law for good.
Uncle Ahmed
listened carefully, then after a long pause, he agreed to help. But he gave her
a warning: "You must do exactly as I tell you." Tabassum, eager for a
solution, quickly agreed.
Uncle Ahmed
then led her to a back room where he returned with a small bundle of herbs in
his hands. He explained, "These are not ordinary herbs. I could give you
poison, but if your mother-in-law dies suddenly, people will suspect you.
Instead, I’m giving you herbs that will gradually weaken her over time.
Each day, you
will cook a meal for her, adding a little of these herbs into the food. But
there's one more thing: if you want the poison to work without raising
suspicion, you must treat her as if she were your own mother. Be kind, be
patient, and never argue with her. Show her love and respect at all
times."
Tabassum,
relieved that she had found a solution, thanked Uncle Ahmed and rushed home,
eager to start the plan.
Over the next
few weeks and months, Tabassum followed Uncle Ahmed’s instructions carefully.
Each day, she prepared a delicious meal for her mother-in-law, making sure to
add the herbs as Uncle Ahmed had told her.
But something
strange started to happen. As she spent more time with her mother-in-law, she
found herself controlling her temper and being more patient. Instead of
responding with anger, she began to listen more carefully to her
mother-in-law’s words, even when they were critical.
Slowly, she
began to feel a warmth towards her, and their interactions became more
pleasant. She treated her mother-in-law like her own mother, just as Uncle
Ahmed had instructed.
Months went by,
and something remarkable happened. Not only had Tabassum learned to control her
anger, but her mother-in-law had also changed.
The harsh words
and criticism that once flowed easily from her had started to disappear. She
began to appreciate Tabassum’s kindness and patience, and they started to build
a bond.
The two women,
once at odds, began to see each other in a new light. Tabassum’s mother-in-law
even spoke highly of her to friends, saying what a wonderful daughter-in-law
she had. Tabassum, too, started to love her mother-in-law deeply.
One day,
feeling conflicted and filled with guilt, Tabassum went back to see Uncle
Ahmed. She explained that everything had changed—she no longer wanted her
mother-in-law to die. In fact, she loved her now and didn’t want anything bad
to happen to her. "Please, tell me how to save her," she pleaded.
Uncle Ahmed
smiled warmly and shook his head. "There’s nothing to worry about,
Tabassum. I never gave you poison. The herbs I gave you were simply vitamins to
improve her health. The real poison was in your own mind, in your attitude and
behavior.
It was your anger
and resentment that were slowly poisoning your relationship with her. But with
your love and patience, you’ve healed it, and in doing so, you’ve healed both
of you."
Tabassum was
stunned. She realized then that the transformation had been within her all
along. It was her change in attitude, her decision to show kindness instead of
reacting with anger, that had brought about the change in her mother-in-law.
Uncle Ahmed’s
words stayed with her: "Our words, our attitudes, and the way we treat
others often determine how they respond to us. Love can heal even the deepest
wounds."
And with that,
Tabassum learned an invaluable lesson—sometimes, the only change we need is
within ourselves.
