HOW TO REMOVE THE RUST OF HEART?

An old pious man was living beside the river bank in a hut just outside the world. One day, a young man came to him for seeking the truth. He asked: O’ Father! Tell me how reading the Qur'an rusts the heart, while we do not understand? The old man was in deep immersion, and he didn’t listen to him. The young man asked again. When he asked the same question for the third time, the old man replied him boredly. The young man became obsessed with this strange answer to his question because of his literary limitations. But respect was a hindrance, so he got up quietly and took the bucket and went out to the river. The bucket was shiny on the outside and black on the inside because of the coals.

As young man took water from the river and picked up the bucket, he suddenly realized that there were holes in the bucket through which all the water flowed when he reached the hut. He entered, the old man heard the whole story and said go again.

The young man understood that there must be some wisdom in old man’s words. So he picked up the bucket and walked away. The water filled up again but the same thing happened again that all the water flowed before he reached the hut. The old man listened him but advised to go and bring water again. The young man went through many rounds like this. When he got tired, he said to O’ Father: I don't know why you are treating me like this while you are seeing that there is no water in the bucket. Now the old man smiled and said: Just look at the inside of the bucket. Is it as black as you saw it in the first round? The young man looked at the bucket and said: No, now it is clean, so many times it is full of water. The old man smiled sympathetically and said: The water has not reached but its quality has made the bucket cleaned. This is the attribute of the Holy Qur'an. Keep reading, keep reading, and keep reading. Its attributes will cleanse your heart from such rust and will take away all the rust from the holes of worldliness in this heart. In the end, a pure heart will be cleansed from the filth of the world and will connect you with Allah Almighty forever. That was the answer to your question.
